Special Location - Turnung your congress into an event

abends essen gehen (Braunschweig Stadtmarketing GmbH / okerland-archiv)

Successful events result in longlasting memories and are often the spark for new inspirations and broad changes. Unique events in unusual locations can give creative impulses, move people and intensify team feelings. The City of Henry the Lion offers many ways to adventure oriented events. Braunschweig Stadmarketing is happy to support you in your conceptional design for conferences, conventions or presentations. Use the festive atmosphere of the Altstadtrathaus (old town city hall) or the baroque Schloss Richmond to communicate pioneering ideas to a selection of international guests and carry those ideas from here into the world of business, science and research. Or enjoy the strengthening of all senses after a hard workshop in the historical Knight’s Hall of the Burg Dankwarderode – ideas there are plenty…

Dornse in the Altstadtrathaus

The Dornse is the city’s good parlour in the Altstadtrathaus, one of the most beautiful medieval monuments in Braunschweig. The Altstadtrathaus, originally a town hall, now serves the city as a place for exhibitions and prestigious events. Organisers of charitable and private events can also receive their guests here.

The castle as see it today is a true historical reproduction of Henry the Lion’s original. The Rittersaal (knights’ hall) of the castle was restored in 1995 and can be hired exclusively for cultural events.

House of Science

A house of science, a lively meeting place centered around research, knowledge- and technology transfer is being built in the former Kant college/PH (next to the Natural History Museum). The rooms will provide an ideal setting for changing exhibitions, lectures and open discussions for the interested public as well as an expert audience.

"Red Hall" in the Palace

Combined under the roof of the Ducal Palace the city offers a wide spectrum of cultural performances in a central location. The centrepiece is the Red Hall in the north wing. Throughout the year it shows a varied and discerning programme of events including cabaret, music, dance, theatre, art and literature. Lectures, podium discussions and the highly acclaimed ‘film art project’ round off the programme. The Red Hall offers seating for 140 people in a modern setting. (no air conditioning)
