For centuries, people have travelled to Braunschweig – a city which looks back on 850 years of migration history.
People from Flanders and Friesland made it possible to build the city in the Middle Ages, English princesses and Italian ladies enlivened culture and French religious refugees brought new commercial ideas. This was the place where the first black African university professor (a former slave) received his school education.
This exciting tour retraces their steps and ends at the Altstadtmarkt, itself rich in history, with the legend of the district administrator and private banker Francesco Maria Capellini.
This tour can also be booked for groups in the following languages: German, English, Spanish, Chinese, Polish
