The special edition of the travel and culture magazine MERIAN is devoted entirely to the Lion City. From the multi-facetted history through to the lively present - over more than 150 pages, the magazine induces a desire to visit Braunschweig. Readers can look forward to exciting reports and exclusive photo spreads concerning the diversified museum and cultural landscape, the re-opening of the Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum at the end of October 2016, the Oker and the nature reserve Riddagshausen as well as the most beautiful parks and lakes. In interviews, Braunschweig personalities such as the singer Axel Bosse, the "Stadtfinder" and a passionate Eintracht Braunschweig fan present their stories and express their love for the Lion City.
In the "MERIAN Compass", which is included in the magazine, 155 tips are provided on further highlights which can be discovered in Braunschweig. In this, the editors present the most beautiful squares, the most exciting stages, the best hotels and guest houses as well as traditional Braunschweig events. Furthermore, the readers are sent on a culinary journey through Braunschweig and are thereby inspired to browse through the shops and cafés of the picturesque Magni Quarter.
